The Government of the Republic of Kosovo, chaired by Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, at Friday’s meeting, approved the Government Program 2020-2023, pledging to work on resumption of the dialogue with Serbia with the facilitation of the EU and US and to for keeping borders intact.
The Government said in a statement that the approved Program 2020-2023, pledges to be protective and implementing all the principles deriving from the Constitution of Kosovo. The country’s integration into the European Union and NATO remain priority, the Government said. The battle to defeat COVID-19 pandemic and economic recovery are also among short-term priorities of the new Government which was endorsed by Parliament on Wednesday.
The Government in its Program has priorities strengthening of the state, fight against organised crime and corruption, economic development, investments and resumption of the dialogue with Serbia. “The Government pledges to take responsibility for advancing dialogue with Serbia, in co-operation with the EU and the US, by not allowing border changes and territory exchanges,” according to the press release. Among priorities of the new Government are also advancing the European integration process, through the implementation of the SAA, as well as the Euro-Atlantic integration process; Full implementation of the European Reform Agenda; Creating an atmosphere of position-opposition cooperation on vital issues in the interest of the country and decision-making in broad and comprehensive consultation, especially in the dialogue process with Serbia.
During Friday’s meeting the Government approved the decision to allocate funds for financial support in the amount of € 25,000.00 (twenty five thousand euros) to help the family of Agon Musliu, who tragically lost his life on May 3, 2020 at the Student Centre in Pristina designated as Quarantine Space. /GazetaExpress/
