Kosovo Government is not aware of President Hashim Thaci’s meeting with his Serbian counterpart in White House which was confirmed by Thaci in Facebook.
Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Haki Abazi, said the Government was not aware of the meeting. “We heard the news in the media. As I have said earlier and I reiterated during today’s session of Parliament – the President’s actions are not transparent, and not coordinated with the institutions of Kosovo,” Abazi said. “We have no information whatsoever on President’s agenda, and what was discussed and on President’s position presented during the meetings he had in Washington,” Abazi told Klan Kosova TV.
He said Prime Minister Kurti has called on coordination of foreign policy and on dialogue with Serbia, adding that his call was never respected. “By exceeding his constitutional competencies, the President is continuing his own agenda,” Abazi stated.
On Monday Prime Minister Albin Kurti wrote a letter to US President Donald Trump informing him that he is in charge of the dialogue with Serbia. But on Monday evening, local time, Thaci confirmed that he had a meeting with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic at the invitation of the US President Donald Trump’s special envoy on dialogue, Richard Grenell. Thaci in a Facebook post asked report at the Parliament on his visit to the US and meeting with Vucic. /GazetaExpress/
