Kosovo Government approves Draft Budget for 2021

Kosovo Government approved Friday the Draft Budget 2021. The state budget for 2021 has a total volume of 2.4 billion euros – almost 200 million euro less than the 2020 budget.

Minister of Finances, Hykmete Bajrami, said the budget for 2021 has been drafted with great uncertainties, due to COVID-19 pandemic, adding that the focus was economic recovery. After criticism of some of the ministries of budget cuts, Bajrami said that due to COVID-19 pandemic the Ministry of Finances has not managed to accommodate all the requests of ministries. Only one of the ministers has abstained during Government’s meeting on Friday. The Draft Law on Budget will be proceeded to the Parliament for final approval. /GazetaExpress/
