Kosovo coronavirus cases hit record daily high

Daily Covid-19 cases in the Kosovo reached a record high on Friday, as authorities are warning of reintroducing new measures to try curb further spread of virus.

There were 418 new cases of the coronavirus reported in Kosovo on Friday, according to data from Kosovo’s National Institute of Public Health, almost double more cases than Thursday.

In total, there have been 19,328 cases and 678 deaths in Kosovo – four of them on Friday, the Institute data shows. According to the same data 67 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. With the latest figures, the number of COVID-19 active cases in Kosovo is 3,126. Kosovo Health Minister warned Thursday of imposing new measures to try and stop new infections. The spike in cases is registered after the Government has decided to open schools and remove restrictions. /GazetaExpress/
