Kosovo confirms six new coronavirus deaths, 132 cases
Kosovo’s Ministry of Health on Thursday reported
six new coronavirus deaths and 132 additional infections.
In the daily bulletin, the ministry said total deaths had increased to 118, while confirmed cases had reached 5,369. “The total number of COVID-19 positive cases is 5,369 out of 29,546 samples tested,” the Ministry said. Based on the data of the health authorities most of the positive cases are in capital Pristina, followed by big cities, Ferizaj, Mitrovica, Gjilan, Prizren and others.
The Government of Kosovo on Monday has decided to reintroduce a curfew from 21:00 to 05:00 and made it mandatory wearing of face masks as part of efforts to prevent further spread of virus.
According to a chart published Wednesday by the European Stability Initiative (ESI) based on the data taken from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, Kosovo tops the list of the European countries with the highest number of coronavirus cases per 100,000 inhabitants. According to this list Kosovo has 124 new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. /GazetaExpress/
