Leaders of the three coalition parties in Government met Friday to discuss election of new president of Kosovo and potential indictments of the war crime courts in the Hague.

Leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, addressing media after the meeting with Isa Mustafa of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and Famtir Limaj of Nisma, said that they have discussed on economic recovery, president’s post and potential indictments of the Special Court in the Hague. Legal experts say that the Special Court in the Hague has exhausted a six-month legal deadline and is expected to decide today on whether to dismiss or confirm the war crime indictments against Kosovo president Hashim Thaci and PDK leader Kadri Veseli for their role as KLA commanders.

Haradinaj commenting on the indictments said: “Kosovo was always on the right side of justice we believe in justice and the justice has always proved the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) war was just,” Haradinaj said adding that Kosovo should help potential indictees of this court. “Kosovo is on the right side of justice, we all know the KLA’s war was just,” he said.

When commenting on the president’s post, he said that an acceptable solution will be found. “I believe a solution will be found. I have no answer on this specific topic, we will continue discussions and see how things will unfold,” he said. The AAK has proposed Haradinaj for president of Kosovo after current President Hashim Thaci leaves the office. In his earlier statements given to media Haradinaj has conditioned participation of his party in Government with the president’s post. /GazetaExpress/
