Kosovo’s ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed to Gazeta Express that they have rejected a request of Serbia’s chief negotiator Petar Petkovic to visit the Republic of Kosovo on 2 and 3 December. The decision of Kosovo authorities comes days after Serbia has not granted entry of four Kosovo ministers to visit the Presheva Valley on 28 November marked by Albanians as the Flag Day (Independence Day of Albania).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo in an answer to Gazeta Express has confirmed that they have rejected a request of Petkovic to visit Kosovo. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora has not approved the request of Serbian official Petar Petkovic to visit Kosovo on 2-3 December 2021,” it is stated in a written statement of this Ministry. Petkovic addressing Belgrade media near the border crossing of Merdare confirmed that he was denied entry in Kosovo’s territory. Petkovic, who is director of Serbian Government Office for Kosovo said that he applied the visit in due time and in accordance with the Agreement reached on visits of senior officials, adding however that Pristina is violating the agreement.

On 27 November Serbia refused a request of four Kosovo ministers to visit Albanians living in the Presheva Valley. Minister of Infrastructure of Kosovo, Liburn Aliu, stated that Serbia has rejected their request to visit Medvegja, Bujanoc and Presheva. /GazetaExpress/
