Kosovo Albanian journalists attacked in Serb-dominated north

A crew of Kosovo Albanian journalists reporting for online media Gazeta Blic has been attacked while reporting from Mitrovica North inhabited mainly by Serbs.

Journalists of gazeta Blic nebih Maxhuni and Diamant Bajra, as well as the cameraman Arsim Rexhepi went to a point selling flour and were interviewing citizens who were waiting to be supplied when they came under attack by two citizens. “Two young Serbs approached us and hit me in the face. Whereas Diamant Bajra and Arsim Rexhepi were pushed away,” Maxhuni said who sustained light injuries in the head and ear. Maxhuni asked for medical help at the regional hospital of Mitrovica South. The Association of Journalists of Kosovo condemned the attack and called on authorities to bring those responsible to justice. /GazetaBlic/
