Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova, called on all parties to respect the decision of the Constitutional Court n formation of the new Government without holding snap election.

Apostolova said the most important thing now is implementation of the Court’s decision by all political actors. “This is about respecting a key principle of rule of law,” Apostolova said.

“There are parties which want to protest, of course this is a right and we cannot go against it. But all protests and demonstrations should be within the rule of law frame. These activities should not lead to any form of violence because this would degrade democratic principles in Kosovo,” Apostolova told TV Klan Kosova.

The Constitutional Court upheld late on Thursday a Kosovo President Hashim Thaci’s decree on appointing a new prime minister to replace acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The Vetevendosje leader in a statement on Friday said the Court’s ruling is inadmissible and announced new political steps in coming days. The Vetevendosje supporters staged on Thursday a “protest rehearsal” hours before the Constitutional Court issued its decision obliging Kurti’s caretaker government to step down and leave the Office for Avdullah Hoti who was nominated by Thaci to form new Government. The LDK leader Isa Mustafa told media on Friday that a Parliament vote in new Government will be held either on Saturday on Monday. /GazetaExpress/
