Haradinaj says Kosovo-Serbia air route deal has nothing to do with tariffs

Kosovo’s outgoing prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, said the US-brokered deal on establishing direct commercial flights between Pristina and Belgrade has nothing to do with the 100 percent tax his Government introduced in 2018 in all Serbia’s imports, Gazeta Express reports.

Haradinaj addressing media after Government’s meeting on Wednesday said the Agreement which was signed on Monday in Berlin brokered by the United States, said the Agreement does not refer to tariffs. Haradinaj said the Agreement explains technicalities which would enable its implementation including airport fees/taxes and other obligations towards the airport. He stated that he was directly engaged in this process adding that role of the US President Donald Trump’s envoy, Richard Grenell, was crucial in reaching the deal. /GazetaExpress/
