Grenell thanks Serbian President for making border crossing with Kosovo operational

US President Donald Trump’s special envoy for Serbia-Kosovo talks, Richard Grenell, has thanked Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic for making Merdare border crossing with Kosovo operational, Gazeta Express reports.

US Ambassador to Belgrade, Anthony Godfrey in a Tweet Tuesday called as great news the decision of Serbian authorities to staff the Merdare border crossing. “Great news! By staffing Merdare, Serbia will help grow regional trade and commerce, which is at the heart of the September 4 agreements signed at the White House. This is an important step forward for prosperity and stability,” Godfrey wrote.

Grenell retweeting Godfrey’s statement said that this is a big move and thanked Serbian president Vucic. “Big move. Thanks to Donald Trump, Serbia makes Merdare border crossing operational. Thank you, Aleksandar Vucic,” Grenell wrote. /GazetaExpress/
