Grenell credits President Trump for relaunching of Kosovo-Serbia air line

US President Donald Trump’s envoy on Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and US Ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell has credited to the US President Donald Trump the success of opening the Pristina-Belgrade air link, which had not been functioning since 1999, Gazeta Express reports.

“President Donald Trump once again led us to a historic victory. Kosovo and Serbia today signed an agreement to create the first direct flight between Pristina & Belgrade in 21 years. Thank you Lufthansa, NATO, Robert C O’Brien and the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia,” Grenell wrote on Twitter.

US diplomats organised on Monday signing of an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia restoring a direct commercial flight aimed at improving trade relations between the two countries. US President Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien, who attended the ceremony of signing the agreement in Berlin, called the deal as “historic agreement” saying that commercial air lines are vital to modern economy. He reminded that no direct flight between Kosovo and Serbia was possible in 21 years.

Kosovo president Hashim Thaci in a Tweet welcomed the letter of intent between Kosovo and Lufthansa to open an air route between Prishtina and Belgrade. “This is an important step for the movement of citizens and normalization process.,” Thaci said and thanked US President Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien and German Ambassador to US, Richard Grenell, for facilitating the process. /GazetaExpress/
