France committed to support Kosovo in Dialogue with Serbia, which should lead to mutual recognition

French President Emmanuel Macron hosted Tuesday Kosovo prime minister Avdullah  Hoti at the Champs Elysees. Hoti after the meeting said he was honoured with the reception of Macron adding that France will continue supporting Kosovo.

“Much honored by the reception from the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. Kosovo relations with France are excellent and we are grateful for their support. Western Balkans perspective in the EU is the only opportunity for peace, stability and prosperity in this part of Europe,” Hoti wrote on Twitter.

“France remains committed to support Kosovo in the dialogue process with Serbia, which should lead to mutual recognition and the normalization of relations,” Hoti said.

Hoti was invited to Paris as part of the France and Germany’s initiative to revive the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. On 10 July Kosovo PM is expected to attend a virtual summit in Paris with the participation of French President Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, whereas on 12 July he will travel to Brussels to meet Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic under the facilitation of the EU special representative on dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak. /GazetaExpress/
