Former Kosovo president among the world’s most influential Muslims

Former president of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, has been ranked among 500 world’s most influential personalities of the Muslim world. The annual list is published by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre based in Jordan, Gazeta Express reports.

In 2021 edition, Jahjaga is among the most influential personalities in politics. “Jahjaga was Kosovo’s youngest and first woman president from 2011 until 2016. After earning a law degree from the University of Pristina in 2000, she continued her studies in the UK and the USA. She then served in various governmental positions including the rank of Major General for the Kosovo Police,” it is written in the short profile of Jahjaga. /GazetaExpress/
