Thursday, the Specialist Chamber of the Constitutional Court has decided to
extend the mandate of the Hague based court. The Constitutional Chamber decided
that the proposed constitutional amendments, proposed by former president of
Kosovo Hashim Thaci who is now subject of an indictment for war crimes filed by
this Court, diminish the rights and freedoms guaranteed by Chapter II of the
Constitution. The announcement was made public the same day the President of
the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, Ekatarina Trendafilova, was mandated for a
second four-year term as head of this Court. /GazetaExpress/
