EU Special Representative (EUSR) for the Pristina-Belgrade Dialogue and
other Western Balkan regional issues, Miroslav Lajcak, kicks off his three-day
visit to Kosovo as part of his Western Balkans tour in the first week of March.
Kicking off his visit in Kosovo from 1 to 3 March, he will continue in
Serbia from 3 to 4 March and also visit Montenegro as part of his regional
mandate from 4 to 5 March. According to the EU Office in Kosovo Lajcak plans to
meet with the political leadership of all three Western Balkan partners, as
well as with the representatives of the European Union on the ground.
The Vetevendosje leader and prime minister designate Albin Kurti has
confirmed hosting Lajcak in Pristina. This is the first visit of Lajcak after
Kosovo held early election on 14 February. According to preliminary results the
Vetevendosje won more than 47 percent of votes and is expected to form the next
government. Kurti in his statements to media said that the EU-facilitated
dialogue with Serbia is not among his top priorities. /GazetaExpress/
