EULEX raids office of KLA Veterans arrests their leader

UPDATE: The Veterans’ lawyer Tome Gashi has confirmed that head of this organisation, Hysni Gucati, has been arrested and is expected to be transferred to the Hague.  

The head of the KLA War Veterans’ Organisation, Hysni Gucati, has been arrested Friday, his deputy Nasim Haradinaj confirmed to Gazeta Express.

Gucati has been arrested during a raid of the EULEX special police in the KLA Veterans’ office in downtown Pristina.

The EULEX police operation comes days after the KLA veterans have received thousands of files anonymously they claim are leaked by the Hague-based Specialist Chambers dealing with alleged crimes of the KLA.

Haradinaj told briefly Gazeta Express that Gucati will be transferred today to the detention center in the Hague. The EULEX has not commented on the operation. /GazetaExpress/
