EU confirms for Gazeta Express Kosovo-Serbia meeting in Brussels, a week before the one in Washington
week before the meeting that Kosovo and Serbia are to hold at the White House,
the European Union has called a meeting between the parties. But Prime Minister
Avdullah Hoti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will not go there. The EU
has called a meeting between “experts from Kosovo and Serbia.”
27 August, the EU plans to resume negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia, while
the administration of US President Donald Trump has organized a meeting at the
White House on 4 September.
EU Foreign Policy spokeswoman Nabila Massrali told Gazeta Express that an expert-level meeting would be held in Brussels on Thursday.
“The dialogue, after
its resumption at the highest level at the end of July, will continue with a
series of meetings at the experts’ level. We confirm that the meeting will be
held on 27 August. In principle, we do not comment on upcoming discussions,”
this level, Kosovo is represented by Skender Hyseni, whom Prime Minister Hoti,
in agreement with President Hashim Thaci, has appointed as coordinator for the
dialogue with Serbia.
Serbia will be represented by Marko Djuric, who in Serbia holds the post of head of the so-called “Office for Kosovo”. /GazetaExpress/
