The leader of the Alliance for Albanians, Ziadin Sela, has exploded with strong accusations against the VLEN coalition and the Government, describing the law on fair and adequate representation as a "political fraud" and a product of VMRO-DPMNE.
On the ZOOM show on RTM2, Sela rejected VLEN's claims that they are the bearers of this cause, emphasizing that he himself has raised this issue since 2017 and has had it as a pillar of the 2020 campaign. According to him, what is being served today is not reform, but a "failed copy" of the balancer that will continue to maintain the status quo situation for Albanians in North Macedonia.
He announced that he will submit an alternative bill to the Assembly, promising clear standards and severe punitive measures for abusers.
"The law will be submitted to set the standard and not a lie as proposed. Because I agree that when someone tells me you are wrong, I need to see a better proposal. Yes, and we must set the standard and we must not allow this to pass in this form as they are trying to pass it. Of course, the law must also have punishment mechanisms. There will be fines and dismissal from work for anyone who manipulates ethnicity to secure a job," Sela emphasized.
