Aleksandar Vučić has made an absurd comparison between the NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999 and the recent attack by Israel and the United States on Iran, claiming that greater preparations were made for Serbia than for the operation against Tehran.
In a statement to the media, after visiting the National Dispatch Center of the Serbian Electric Grid, Vučić attempted to ironize the American approach to the conflict, implying that Washington has acted without a clear plan and with potentially catastrophic consequences for the global order.
He drew a direct comparison to the NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999, which stopped the Serbian war in Kosovo. According to him, much greater preparations were made at that time than in the case of the attack on Iran.
"They made greater preparations for Serbia than for Iran. Everything was done superficially. The consequences are catastrophic," he declared, adding that he does not understand "who planned this" and what was intended with the idea that "with the assassination of Khamenei everything ends."
Vucic said that he had been warning about a US attack on Iran for a month and that, according to him, many international actors entered the crisis unprepared - "except Iran."
He warned that Serbia will take measures regarding the latest developments and that the public will be informed in more detail over the weekend. /Klix
