The head of the Vetëvendosje branch in Skenderaj, Hysni Mehani, spoke on T7's Kosova Live about yesterday's incident where he claimed that the mayor of Skenderaj, Sami Lushtaku, hit him while he was drinking coffee in a bar in the city center.
"I went to have coffee with MP Arjeta Fejza and two other girls and an activist. So, there were three girls and two men at a table. We were talking with Fejza about the governing platform and the election campaign. Meanwhile, Mrs. Fejza told me that I saw Sami Lushtaku. I told her not to react and I didn't turn my head at all towards Mr. Lushtaku and since we were on the edge of the road on the terrace, I thought he was passing by to enter the bar. And while continuing the conversation and not turning my head at all to see where he was, I saw Mr. Lushtaku who had come, approached me and said what they said... and hit me on the head with his phone where he caused the wound. Then, he pushed me and hit me with something hard, he hit me with a chair."
He said he did not respond to the violence.
