Real Madrid CF midfielder Fede Valverde has returned to training for the first time since his collision with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni last week.
Valverde has stated that neither he nor Tchouameni exchanged punches, although reports say otherwise, while both have been fined 500 thousand euros by the club after a swift disciplinary process.
Valverde reportedly suffered a head injury during the incident and received stitches, and was advised to rest for 10–15 days, but he has returned to training early and could be ready for the match against Sevilla FC. His return is seen as a positive step for relations within the squad.
However, several players are said to have requested his departure this summer, while Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United FC have also shown interest in his services, although Valverde has not expressed a desire to leave the Madrid club.
