British Ambassador condemns attacks on journalists in Kosovo
British Ambassador to Pristina, Nicholas
Abbott, has condemned the attacks on journalists in Kosovo reported over the
last few days, Gazeta Express reports.
In a Facebook Post, Ambassador Abbot said the
journalists must be allowed to work without fear of violence. “I am concerned
to hear reports of attacks on journalists in Kosovo. Journalists must be
allowed to work without fear of violence. The UK is committed to media freedom
and the protection of journalists around the world,” Abbott wrote in Facebook.
His reaction came after recent attempted
attack on general director of the Gazeta Express and T7 Berat Buzhala, and Monday’s
physical attack on journalists of online media Gazeta Blic while reporting from
Mitrovica North. /GazetaExpress/
