Kosovo’s ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, has reacted after Serbian authorities extend the detention measure of a Kosovo Albanian man who was arrested on 4 January at the border crossings of Merdare, suspected of war crimes.
The ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora in a statement issued on Friday called international community, including US and EU, to convince Belgrade to stop fabrication of accusations and arrest of Kosovo citizens while traveling through Serbia.
The ministry reacted after a Court in Belgrade decided to extend the detention measure against Kosovo citizen Nezir Mehmetaj who was arrested on 4 January by the Serbian police at the border crossings of Merdare, while he was returning from Switzerland. Serbian authorities claim that Mehmetaj is suspected of committing war crimes. /GazetaExpress/
