Authorities call on US and EU react Serbia on arresting a Kosovo Albanian man
Kosovo’s ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, has reacted after Serbian authorities extend the detention measure of a Kosovo Albanian man who was arrested on 4 January at the border crossings of Merdare, suspected of war crimes.
The ministry of Foreign Affairs and
Diaspora in a statement issued on Friday called international community,
including US and EU, to convince Belgrade to stop fabrication of accusations
and arrest of Kosovo citizens while traveling through Serbia.
The ministry reacted after a Court in Belgrade
decided to extend the detention measure against Kosovo citizen Nezir Mehmetaj
who was arrested on 4 January by the Serbian police at the border crossings of
Merdare, while he was returning from Switzerland. Serbian authorities claim
that Mehmetaj is suspected of committing war crimes. /GazetaExpress/
