Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova, said the EU and Quint Ambassadors will not interfere in negotiations as Kosovo leading parties – Vetevendosje and LDK – are struggling to find a common language and form new government.

Apostolova and representatives of Embassies of QUINT (US, UK, Germany, France and Italy) attended Tuesday a meeting between leaders Albin Kurti of Vetevendosje and Isa Mustafa of LDK. Apostolova said their presence was not an interference in coalition talks between the two parties. “We heard parties, we have not advocated any specific solution during last night’s meeting with parties negotiating the coalition deal. It’s not up to us to interfere,” Apostolova said and urged the parties to create new government as soon as possible. Apostolova made the comments on Wednesday attending an event when Croatian Ambassador to Kosovo, Dinejla Barisic, presented priorities of the Croatian EU Presidency.
