Vetevendosje leader, Albin Kurti, considers as “unjust” and “unacceptable” Thursday’s ruling of the Constitutional Court paving the way to form new Government without holding snap election.
The caretaker prime minister Albin Kurti whose government was toppled in a no-confidence vote by parliament in March, took Facebook express his opponents to the Constitutional Court’s ruling that the President Hashim Thaci’s decree to nominate Avdullah Hoti of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) form new Government was in line with the Constitution.
According to Kurti the Constitutional Court has devalued itself with Thursday’s ruling by aligning with those who have “captured the state.”
“Unfortunately, the Constitutional Court aligned with those who captured the state. [The Court] sealed and devalued itself,” Kurti said.
“Our battle continues, together with the people who are aware that actions are needed against this corrupt caste,” Kurti said. He said the Vetevendosje has not invested high hopes in the Constitutional Court’s decision, adding however that Thursday’s ruling was “beyond imagination,” and “under every (logical and judicial) level.”
“As unfair as it is, the Constitutional Court’s ruling is unacceptable,” Kurti said and announced further political steps in coming days. /GazetaExpress/
