Serbian Gendarmerie keeps entering Kosovo territory, locals concerned

Residents of the border village of Karaceva in Kamenica Municipality, continue to feel threatened by Serbian Gendarmerie, who time after time continue entering the territory of this village.

Representative of Karaceva, Selver Lenjani, on Friday exposed in front of Government’s building evidence of Serbian border police forces entering village’s property. He called on relevant institutions to deal with their problem, adding that the life of residents living along border with Serbia is threatened by presence of Serbian armed forces. He says local and international institutions have done nothing to solve this problem.

The Karaceva area has been designated as buffer zone and the only force allowed to enter village’s territory is KFOR. Entrance of Serbian Gendarmerie in that area and illegal controls they carry out, according to locals is a direct threat to their lives and the state of Kosovo. /GazetaExpress/
