Kurti presents priorities of Kosovo Government ahead of Parliament vote

Albin Kurti, mandated to form new, ahead of proposing his cabinet, has presented priorities he promises to fulfil during his four-year mandate as prime minister of Kosovo.

Kurti said his Government will have 15 ministries and around 33 deputy ministers, who according to him, will have direct impact in reducing government’s expenses which means more money for investments. In addition, Kurti has mentioned generating new jobs, economic development.

Addressing MPs who convened on Monday to vote new Government, the Vetevendosje leader said that his Government will close the Privatization Agency of Kosovo (PAK), an institution managing public owned enterprises in Kosovo, and transfer its competencies to an agency within the Government of Kosovo.

He promised special care also for workers in Kosovo, promising increase of inspectors to control an eight-hour work per day and 40 hours per week. Talking on budget, Kurti said during his mandate he will have a three-billion-euro budget, the highest so far. He also mentioned investments in technology, and commitment in the rule of law. Kurti also promised vetting in judiciary and cooperation with internationals. Also Kurti presenting program of his government, will ask Serbia be held accountable for crimes committed during the war in Kosovo. /GazetaExpress/
