Kosovo Police officer killed, two other wounded in drug raid

A Kosovo Police officer was killed and two other were wounded, on Tuesday evening after an explosion in an anti-narcotics search operation in a village near Prizren. A child living in the raided house was also injured in the explosion.

Police officer Sami Thaci has died after an explosion during a raid of the Specialised Anti-Drug Unit in a house in the village of Zhur near Prizren. Because of the explosion four other police officers were wounded. Among the injured persons is also a 12-year old child living in a house when an unknown explosive device went off during the raid. Authorities say that one of the officers has lost one eye and is in critical condition. The Kosovo Police (KP) have arrested the owner of the house after the deadly blast. /GazetaExpress/
