Over 83 kilograms of heroin seized in Kosovo, Minister of Interior confirms

Kosovo minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Svecla, has announced that 83.5 kilograms of heroine have been seized and several people were arrested during a joint action of the Kosovo Police, Customs and State Prosecution Office, Gazeta Express reports.  

The heroin was seized on Wednesday at the Customs Terminal of Hani i Elezit on border with North Macedonia and was hidden in lighting equipment. Officials of the Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj, during a press conference on Wednesday evening stated that seven people have been arrested and two others are still on the run. According to the prosecutor of the case two vehicles have been arrested during the operation. /GazetaExpress/
