Kosovo Interior Minister meets EU Commissioner for Home Affairs

Kosovo minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svecla met Thursday the European Union Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs Svecla informed Johansson on priorities and results of the Government of Kosovo in fighting organised crime and corruption and challenges they are facing. Minister of Internal Affairs also emphasised the importance of concrete cooperation with the EU in joint efforts to fight human trafficking, including trafficking of migrants.

EU Commissioner Johansson emphasised continuation of support for Kosovo in fields of joint interest. Both agreed that they will continue to cooperate for a safer Europe and in cooperation with the EU and other countries, to progress towards European integration. Svecla invited EU Commissioner to visit Kosovo and see in first-hand progress and challenges in fields of mutual interest. /GazetaExpress/
