Serbia’s President Vucic does not respect Washington Agreement

At the meeting on 4 September 2020, Kosovo and Serbia had signed a list of commitments at the White House, in the presence of former US President Donald Trump.

One of the commitments was that Serbia opens a trade office in Jerusalem by 20 September – two weeks after that meeting in Washington – while by 1 July 2021 (today) moves the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. But Serbia has not done so, thus violating this commitment.

Kosovo, in the list of commitments, had the recognition by Israel on the condition that it open the embassy in Jerusalem, and it has already done so.  A very few countries have their embassies in Jerusalem, while the West has criticized Kosovo for opening a diplomatic mission in this town, which has often been the cause of wars.

The US was the first state to relocate its embassy to Jerusalem. Other countries, including Serbia, that have relations with Israel have embassies in Tel Aviv.
