Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on the Labor Day (1 May) has promised increase of minimum wage up to 250 euro, Gazeta Express reports.

Kurti in a Facebook post said that his Government will take measures and assure that every employee to have a contract and not more than 40 regular working hours per week.

“We will continue working on prioritizing employment of women, young people and non-majority communities. We will take measures that every worker to have a contract, with guaranteed pensions contribution payment and to have only 40 working regular hours per week. We will multiply number of inspectors to increase safety of workers in their working environment. The minimum wage will be increased initially to 250 euro, and we will exclude the tax of pension income. The Government will continuously make reviews in order for this increase to reflect the growth of national income,” Kurti wrote on  Facebook. /GazetaExpress/
