President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti have appointed new Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA), Gazeta Express reports.
The President’s Office in a statement said that the new chief of KIA is Petrit Ajeti.
“The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, have appointed Petrit Ajeti as Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency. This appointment has been done in compliance with the constitutional competencies of the President and the Prime Minister of Kosovo,” according to the press release.
According to the biography published by the President’s Office, Petrit Ajeti was born in Gjilan on 11 October 1981. He graduated the Military Academy “Skenderbej” in Tirana and finished bachelor Political Sciences in the Philosophical Faculty of Pristina. Ajeti is recipient of Young Cell Scheme Scholarship finishing MA studies in the Arts and Social Responsibility of Corporations at the Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom.
Ajeti has over 15 years’ experience in the private and public institutions dealing with security. In 2013 he joined the Ministry of Defence of Kosovo as Official on coordination of foreign investments and defense and as acting chief of the Euro-Atlantic integrations within the Ministry. His most recent job was Chief of Staff of the General Secretary. /GazetaExpress/
