Director
of Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Petar Petkovic, said that Serbian
president Aleksandar Vucic has not been barred from entering Kosovo.
Petkovic
said that Vucic planned a visit to Kosovo last Saturday, but he cancelled the
visit due to the death of Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej. He said
that no one has stopped Serbian president form entering Kosovo as alleged by
Kosovo authorities, adding that such a decision of Kosovo authorities does not
exist.
Petkovic
has also commented the reaction of Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Meliza
Haradinaj-Stublla that Vucic will not be allowed to enter Kosovo without Serbia
apologising for the genocide committed in Kosovo. “She wanted to give a
political show and give a blow to normalization, relations and the dialogue
between Belgrade and Pristina,” Petkovic told media in Belgrade. Petkovic said
that Serbian president was planning to visit northern Kosovo and five
locations, which as he said, are suspected of being mass graves with bodies of
Serbs and non-Albanians. He said that after Vucic’s request the EU said that
tensions should be decreased because of Albanian and Serbian citizens, resulting
in cancellation of the visit. /GazetaExpress/
