Mustafa, former senior commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) has been
arrested on war crime charges Thursday. Media report that he was arrested in
his house by the EULEX police.
Family members of Mustafa confirmed to Gazeta Insajderi that the EULEX officials told them he is taken to the Hague, when the Kosovo Specialist Chambers are based. There is no official confirmation of the arrest by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.
Mustafa was questioned by the Hague prosecutors in 2019 as a war crime suspect. The Hague-based Specialist Chambers have been established in 2015 by the Parliament of Kosovo and their mandate is to prosecute and try alleged crimes of the KLA. The Hague prosecutors have announced filing of the first indictments in February 2020 but there is no official confirmation of the charges by a pre-trial judge of this court. /GazetaExpress/
