The serious incident that shocked Greece two days ago has ended tragically, after the second 17-year-old girl, who was hospitalized in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit of KAT Hospital, also died in hospital.

We recall that the teenager was hospitalized after jumping from the sixth floor terrace of a building along with her friend, who died at the scene.

According to the hospital's official announcement, the minor passed away on the evening of May 14, at 19:54 PM, after several days of intensive treatment, since May 12.

"KAT Hospital expresses its sincere condolences to her family."", the official statement says.

Greek authorities are continuing their investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, while according to preliminary information, the two teenagers had left personal notes before the incident, then climbed onto the terrace of the palace, closed the door, put on headphones while listening to music, and fell from the height, holding hands.

A note was found in the bag of the girl who died at the scene and lived in that building, where she wrote that she was suffering from depression, that she loved her parents, and that they were not at fault.

She also expressed that she was afraid of disappointing them due to failing her matriculation exams, concluding with the words: "I don't want to live in this world."

Also, according to Greek media, police have found a diary in the home of another 17-year-old girl, who lost her life this evening.

She too had written about depression and the fear of disappointing her parents in exams.

The event has caused great shock in public opinion in Greece, while the girls' families are facing a double heavy loss.

The family of one of the victims have called for donations to be made to the "Child's Smile" organization in her memory, instead of funeral wreaths.

"With this action, her memory will help children who need support and hope," it is said in the organization's message. /Panorama
