Kosovo has made progress in media freedom, according to Reporters Without Borders' World Press Freedom Index, ranking 84th, or 15 places better than last year.
The acting EU chief in Kosovo, Eva Palatova, says that this progress must now be "maintained."
“Encouraging to see Kosovo climb 15 places in the Reporters Without Borders World Press Freedom Index. This progress must now be maintained by public officials and the political establishment, who share the responsibility for ensuring an enabling environment for the media to function. The EU will support,” she wrote in X.
