ASH, the wing of Arben Taravar, has reacted regarding the chants against Albanians by Macedonian fans.
They report that during the handball match between the Vardar and Pelister teams, held at the "Jane Sandanski" hall in Skopje, the "Çkembari" fan group erupted with insulting and offensive chants towards Albanians.
"This is not the first case and, unfortunately, it will not be the last, as long as the institutions remain silent and the government with VLEN at the helm pretends not to see. Instead of taking concrete steps to punish the perpetrators who incite interethnic hatred, Mickoski's vassals engage in political circuses, such as the shameful scene in the "Boris Trajkovski" hall, where even hundreds of contracts distributed in Čair and Tetovo were not enough to fill the hall.
WLEN has chosen to turn a blind eye in this case as well. For them, a photo with Macedonian fans and the vote for the anti-Albanian "Qesto" is more important than the dignity of Albanians and the protection of our mothers and sisters who are humiliated in the sports stands.
"VLEN has neither the will nor the desire to stop the surge of anti-Albanian narratives by those who openly declare on social networks that they will support this entity only to defeat the Albanian opposition. This phenomenon not only exposes the weakness of VLEN in the face of political pressures and propaganda, but also places it in a dubious position, where the support it receives is not related to its political program, but to goals that violate the unity and interests of Albanians," the ASH response states.
