The headlines in Italy in recent days have centred around the alleged discovery of a prostitution ring in Milan, with over 70 names of Serie A footballers, past and present, named as clients of the people who operated it. Among them is one of last year's summer transfers from Real Madrid.

The Italian Financial Police recently uncovered a company operating in Milan, as reported by Marca. Among the offers to high-profile clients were parties in nightclubs, the use of laughing gas and an “all-inclusive” package that referred to prostitution. The names mentioned are not under investigation, as under Italian law only the “service” providers remain liable.

The services were offered to Inter Milan and AC Milan players, as well as visiting teams in the city. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the company kept 50% of the payment for the "all-inclusive" package, while the rest was distributed to the people who carried it out.

Inter have named Alessandro Bastoni, Dejan Stanković, Raoul Bellanova, Yann Bisseck, Achraf Hakimi, Philippe Coutinho, Milan Škriniar and Carlos Augusto. Milan have named Koni De Winter, Rafael Leão, Olivier Giroud and Jérémy Ménez. It should be noted that it is not clear what services these names used, and it may have been limited to nightclub events.

As Sport reports, Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen is another name mentioned as a client in the investigation, along with other Juventus players. Former FC Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo is also on the list, while services are said to have also been offered to players from Monza, Como and Atalanta.

So far, the only player to have publicly responded is Milan striker Rafael Leão. He has denied any involvement in illegal actions and has warned of legal action against those who damage his reputation. As noted above, Italian prosecutors are not investigating any of the players mentioned.
