Barcelona officially introduced Anthony Gordon today as the club's new player and he surprised everyone from the first minutes with a very fluent Spanish, which, as he himself explained, he has learned since childhood.
The reason: he always believed that one day he would end up playing for the Catalan club, writes "Gazeta Express".

"I speak Spanish because since I was a child I believed I would end up at Barça. Also in Newcastle I had a Spanish physiotherapist and I practiced with him," he said, surprising everyone present.
Few footballers arrive at a club knowing the language before signing.
This contrasts, for example, with Hansi Flick, who still holds press conferences in English, despite having lived in Barcelona for two years.
When asked about his goals, Gordon chose the Champions League.
"If I had to choose one trophy, I would like to win my sixth Champions League," Gordon continued.
