China's Foreign Ministry has called for peace talks between Iran and the United States to resume, following the seizure of the Iranian-flagged Touska.
Spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated at a press conference that China expresses "concern" about the "forceful interference" of this ship by US forces, according to the AFP agency.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry has previously described the US naval blockade of Iranian ports as "irresponsible and dangerous."
The country is estimated to buy around 90% of the oil Iran exports - while analysts say the US blockade may be designed to pressure China to increase its pressure on Iran, the BBC reported, as reported by Gazeta Express.
