Visar Xani, candidate for deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, said that the way the ruling party distributes allowances is absolutely electoral abuse and misuse of public funds.
"This is absolutely electoral misuse, misuse of public funds, not their allocation, but the way they were allocated. You cannot allocate the budget a few days before the elections, and even possibly aim to make the first transfer on Friday and on Sunday the citizens of Kosovo go out to vote," said Xani on the "Tempus" show on T7.
He also said that he does not deny the needs of citizens, but that the Government's goal is only to strengthen them and obtain a greater number of votes.
"All this is not about helping citizens, but about helping ourselves, to become stronger and to get more votes. It does not mean that we are not at a moment when citizens need help, but helping only with electoral calculations, this is unfair, insincere and a total misuse of the country's budget," Xani added.
He also emphasized that LDK does not plan to stop the allowances once they come to power, but they will be standardized and will have clarity in the law.
