Member of the European Parliament and Rapporteur for Kosovo, Viola von Cramon, said that shadows of nationalism are still hindering cooperation in the Western Balkan region adding that Members of the European Parliament and Bundestag have sent a letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel to make sure that Berlin Process also includes reconciliation and aims at real progress, Gazeta Express reports.
Von Cramon said that without reconciliation, justice and mutual respect, no progress can be achieved.
“Today Foreign Affairs Committee of the EU Council discusses Western Balkans. Shadows of nationalism are still hindering cooperation; we cannot move forward without #reconciliation, justice and mutual respect,” Von Cramon wrote on Twitter.
“We sent a letter to Chancellor Merkel together with colleagues from Europarl_DE Bundestag to make sure Berlin Process also includes reconciliation and aims at real progress,” Von Cramon said. /GazetaExpress/
