US Secretary of State urges Kosovo PM Kurti to commit to dialogue with Serbia

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken wrote a letter to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti urging him to commit the dialogue on normalization of relations with Serbia cantered on mutual recognition.

In addition to dialogue, Blinken in his letter addresses other issues such as: rule of law, defend of rights of minorities and economic development. Blinken said the EU-facilitated Dialogue remains the best forum for normalization agreement between Belgrade and Pristina. Blinken also said that the US is closely coordinate with the EU on the Dialogue.

In his letter Blinken asked Kurti to closely work with the newly appointed US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeff Hovenier and US Special Representative for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar.
