US pressure, Kosovo coalition leaders to convene and decide on tax, reciprocity

Kosovo coalition partners – Vetevndosje and Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) are expected to meet in coming days to coordinate on foreign policy, including the heated topics such as their plans to replace 100 percent tax on Serbian goods with full reciprocity with its northern neighbour.

Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani, who is also senior member of the LDK, addressing media on Tuesday said that they will meet with their coalition partner – the Vetevendosje to coordinate on future steps. “I believe that a meeting will be held in coming days, and will be decided on all steps,” Osmani said.

The new Government of Kosovo headed by the Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti has been put under pressure by the US and EU asking revocation of 100 percent tariffs on Serbian goods in order to resume the dialogue with Serbia aimed at reaching a final agreement on normalisation of relations between the two countries. /GazetaExpress/
