US Ambassador: Kosovo Assembly’s adoption of the Istanbul Convention advances women’s rights

US Ambassador to Kosovo, Philip Kosnett, has welcomed adoption of the Istanbul Convention by Kosovo MPs.

Kosnett said the adoption of the Convention advances women’s rights and demonstrates Kosovo’s alignment with the Euro-Atlantic values.

“The Kosovo Assembly’s unanimous adoption of the Istanbul Convention advances women’s rights, counters violence against women, and demonstrates once again Kosovo’s alignment with Euro-Atlantic values,” Kosnett wrote on Twitter. The Assembly of Kosovo adopted last week the Istanbul Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women. /GazetaExpress/
