Kosovo Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, said that meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, as part of the Dialogue on normalization of relations, will be held by mid-June.

Kurti reiterated that the Dialogue with Serbia should be principled, just, when Kosovo is presented as equal party in the negotiations table. “We will represent Kosovo based on the Program and in accordance with the responsibilities we have,” Kurti said. He made the statements after visiting Business Park in Prizren.

Asked by journalists to comment establishment of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities, Kurti said that there can be no monoethnic association in Kosovo. “A petition of Kosovo citizens, our actions in opposition, as well as a ruling of the Constitutional Court, foretell what will happen with the association. There can be no mono-ethnic association in Kosovo. So, it is necessary to integrate all citizens, regardless of their ethnicity,” Kurti stated.

Kosovo and Serbia signed an agreement in 2013 during EU-facilitated dialogue in Brussels, when Pristina authorities are obliged to establish the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities. In 2015, the two countries under EU-facilitation, have signed an annex to the existing deal agreeing to principles of establishing the Association.

But the Constitutional Court of Kosovo has ruled that most of the provisions of this Agreement are in violation with the Constitution of Kosovo. Serbia is insisting that Kosovo should establish the Association of Serb Municipalities. /GazetaExpress/
