Lajcak to visit Kosovo, Serbia in June, agreement expected ‘within months’

EU Special Representative on Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, is expected to visit Pristina and Belgrade during June to prepare the ground for resumption of dialogue on normalisation of relations between the two countries. This was reported by Serbia’s state TV RTS quoting diplomatic sources in Brussels.

“Brussels expects resumption of dialogue without further delay and say that reaching of a final agreement is a matter of months, not years. Change of borders enjoys no support in the region and the European Union does not see it as a solution of problems between Pristina and Belgrade,” RTS quoted an EU source as saying. EU sources say the dialogue will be held in Brussels and will be facilitated by the European Union. “Implementation of the agreements reached so far and reaching of a final agreement on normalisation of relations between Pristina and Belgrade, are two main priorities,” an EU official told RTS. The same source said that a deal is possible within months if parties are ready for this. /GazetaExpress/
