Lajcak: Kosovo should amend Constitution and establish the Association

EU Special Representative for Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, after meeting Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade, said that Kosovo should change its Constitution and establish the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities. “Everything has been agreed on the Association of Serb Municipalities, the constitution is not the Bible,” Lajcak said. 

“The main conclusion of my meetings is that the dialogue will continue and that everything agreed has to be implemented,” Lajcak said adding that the next step are negotiations on the status of the Association and that will be in Brussels. The EU Special Representative said that none of the officials he met with in Pristina said they would not implement agreements. According to Lajcak normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia is in the interest of every citizen and the EU is facilitating this process. Lajcak answering journalists’ questions said that he is against setting deadlines adding however that the process cannot be delayed indefinitely. /GazetaExpress/
